Outdoor Video Wall

Turning an open field into a concert-ready venue takes a system designed to perform in every condition, for every kind of show. This year, CAVT Solutions partnered with The Brook Casino to design, install, and commission a complete audio and video system for the venue's brand-new outdoor stage.
The Brook wanted its first outdoor venue to feel every bit as professional as its indoor stages — capable of hosting full touring productions, not just a scaled-down version of an indoor show. That meant building a system tough enough for the elements, powerful enough for a wide-open audience area, and flexible enough to run either independently or as part of the casino's larger AV network — all without an existing infrastructure to build from.
We designed the audio system around a sixteen-channel wireless microphone and in-ear monitoring platform, giving performers the same reliability they'd expect indoors. Front-of-house and monitor mixing run on dual Yamaha DM7 consoles, feeding a full Fulcrum Acoustic loudspeaker system — main left and right arrays, out-fills, stage fills, ten stage monitors, and six subwoofers — tuned on site for even, consistent coverage across the entire audience area.
For video, two outdoor-rated Absen LED walls, each roughly 16 feet wide by 15 feet tall, serve as the venue's primary visual element, mounted on a custom structure engineered to stand up to the elements above the venue's existing scoreboard building.
Rather than treat the outdoor venue as a system unto itself, we extended The Brook's existing QSC platform out from the main casino floor, so operators can route content, live video, and production resources between indoor and outdoor spaces without interruption — while the outdoor venue retains six local sources and the ability to run independently when needed.
The Brook now has a flexible, professional-grade outdoor venue capable of supporting a full range of touring acts and special events — with a system designed to grow alongside the venue as programming expands.
This wasn't a scaled-down version of an indoor system — it was a purpose-built outdoor platform designed to match the reliability of the casino's existing spaces while standing on its own. From wireless coverage to video structure to network integration, every piece was built around one goal: giving performers and guests an experience that feels effortless, rain or shine.
We're grateful to The Brook for the opportunity to design and build a system this visible, and even more grateful for a partnership that continues to grow with every project. Ready to see what a fully integrated AV system could look like for your venue?
